This hat pattern takes advantage of your desire to work a quick, easy-to-memorize pattern utilizing the knit stitch and one simple variation of the knit stitch. Learn a new cast-on too, while you’re at it.  There’s no purling, no yarn-overs and no complex lace combinations, yet the result has the look of a sophisticated design.

To make this work, I have you knit the ribbing portion of the hat on the right side, and the main body of the hat on the wrong side. Once finished, turn it inside out to reveal the double rose fabric. Once you’ve gotten the rhythm of the work, it’s a soothing knit.
