Default What is your experience with hpy.com?

I ordered 4 skeins of yarn direct from hpy in Jan. They showed as instock. After about a week or so I emailed hpy to see how long it would be before I received the yarn. She wrote back saying 6-14 days(it is supposed to be sent priority mail). I *thought* that the instock stuff was in a warehouse in Florida or something? Anyway. I still hadn't gotten the yarn, so I emailed yesterday, and now she is saying it'll be mailed out on Friday! She said they have been getting overwhelmed with orders. It would have been nice to get an email letting me know it was going to be longer than expected. Grrr...I got this yarn for a trade, the mama has long since sent my items, and I feel like a jerk. I know it's not exactly my fault, but still.
So anyway...I am wondering what your experience was with them, is this normal? I just want to be ready if I ever do decide to order from there again.
Thanks!!
ps. my payment cleared Jan. 26th.

I don't do business with them anymore because they pull this kind of stuff all the time. I was once involved in a co-op where they took our money, decided NOT to fulfill the order and then took EIGHT MONTHS to refund the money. EIGHT MONTHS they held on to thousands of dollars. Prior to that experience, I dealt with what you're dealing with now, lots of delays and noncommunication.

I've only ordered from the twice. Both times it's taken 3 or 4 weeks to get my order in. I think both times I ordered about 6-8 skeins, so it's not like they were huge orders or anything...

Wow. Everytime I've ordered from them, it's taken only a week or so tops. I have noticed that I've had the best luck ordering w/them on ebay. Don't know why. Maybe because of the feedback system?
