Default KAL: Drop-Stitch Lace Tank

PamM and I are doing a KAL for the Drop-Stitch Lace Tank from Stefanie Japel's Fitted Knits.

I thought I'd post this here in case anyone wants to join us.

I finally decided on the yarn. I'm going to use Patons Grace in Azure. Patons Grace is one of my favorite yarns to use for tank tops. It's a bit thinner than the yarn the pattern calls for, but I'd like it to be less bulky. I'm going to knit one size up and use smaller needles (5 and 3) and I'm going to knit it in the round. I just finished all the knitting for my Josephine Top and now it's sitting in my bag and probably will for a while cause I don't want to seam it! lol

You could always wear it over something. I'm gonna wear mine over another tank.

I haven't used patons grace....what is the content and have you swatched.

I highly recommend that you do so for this pattern

And for whomever mentioned the cold factor--I don't know of anyone who has knit this and NOT worn it over something - it is pretty 'open' with the dropped stitches and all.

I don't swatch either....BUT I started out a swatch b/c I was taking this class -- didn't want to get in trouble from the 'teacher'....was using a 100% cotton and the drape was terrible.Switched yarn and it was much better.......If you know how that yarn behaves - then it will probably work out okay for you....If not you can always

I'm a little over an inch into it now. I just finished the first dropped stitch.

How far are you on yours, Pam? Are you knitting it flat?

I am knitting flat - mostly b/c I wanted the 'support' of seams.....

I am nearly done with the front...past the split for the front (I am knitting both sides of the front at the same time)

I actually haven't picked it up since I 'found' it. I need to figure out exactly where I am in the pattern.

That yarn of yours is loverly. Glad to know it 'behaves'. (Mine didn't - it was awful)

I can't wear it over another tank either cause I'd still freeze. We are in full Autumn weather here and have 30 degree nights, brrr...

We rarely even drop to 30 in the winter here. I just double up on the tank tops and maybe wear a shawl when I'm out.

Jeannie (I think is how it is spelled) it is plymouth brand - cotton blend I believe. Been a while since I looked....been working on a 'clap' and reading Twilight - now New Moon (Blame that on my dd) AND spending too much time on the political threads of Ravelry.

I've been reading a lot of those lately, too. I'm pretty much addicted.

I finished the first repeat today. Working on some socks now for a contest A Swell Yarn Shop is doing over at her Rav group.

Hmmm I wonder if we are reading the same groups? (I would say so as I think we are pretty like minded.)

Hehehe, well, we do share the fans of fake news group. I'd say by looking at your groups, our groups are very similar.
