Gusset

This is my first pair of longies with the pp pattern. I was going to graft first and then do the legs because I'm not sure if I want to make them a bit wider or not. What am I supposed to use to graft the gusset? I don't see any spare yarn near the gusset. I have the tails near the top and the working yarn, I haven't added the second ball yet and I'm planning on knitting them both at the same time with the magic loop method. Any advice?
