I was out yardsale-ing yesterday and this one family was packing up but I noticed a basket full of skeins of yarn.....I ran over to it to see if it was wool yarn and sure enough it was 100% virgin wool "TAPESTRY" yarn.......they were mostly in 1.7 oz skeins. Now I don't know my arse from my elbow with yarn/knitting but I do know that it had to be 100% wool and I've been wanting to find someone to knit me a pair of longies for the fall......SO I asked how much for the whole basket and she told me to take it......they didn't want it. I was so excited! I thought I scored! LOL

But, from what I have heard now, that this type of yarn is not used for soakers :emb ......so I figured I'd offer it here to anyone would want it or want to try it out. I'd love to be a tester of it if anyone wants to knit up a quick soaker or whatever and keep the rest......it's free, I'll even cover shipping.

Anyone who might want it, let me know.......michelle@littleearthangels.com

Peace
Michelle

Maybe you could use the yarn for embellishing soakers?

embellishing soakers is just a fancy word for all the pretty "artsy" stuff people add on to their soakers.....
Dragonflies, Butterflies, flowers, lettering etc etc....You did score!!!

And really if you learn to knit you can easily learn to embellish (most of it is what they call "duplicate" stitch and you just are "copying" over top of your knit stitches to change the color without having to do all that while knitting....OR it is "embroidery" on the knit soaker)

I have just started embellishing, it is fun!
