When knitting ribbing....

Let's say I have 22 st on the needle and I k2 p2 all the way across... so I start with K and end with K. When I turn it over to do the next row, do I K2 P2 all the way across or do I P2 K2??? Because when I K2 P2 on both sides it just looks like a mess LOLOL,... and I can't find the answer in any of my darn books!!!

see the bold above. if you are knitting flat, that is :)

If you ended with k2, you turn the work and begin with p2. :) If a knit stitch is facing you, knit it. If a purl stitch is facing you, purl it. ;)

I assume you are knitting flat, not in the round.

Yes, I'm knitting flat right now because I'm just practicing... but what's that difference when you knit in the round??? I'm curious now ;-)

when you knit in the roundyou need a multiple of four to do k2p2 ribbing... and you never turn. you just keep stacking hte knits ont eh knits and the purls on purls. excuse typos feeling too tired to fix. oxoox

When you knit flat, you have to turn and work the back side so that's why you do the opposite. When you work in the round, you're always working on the right side so you do the same thing over and over again.
