nope, it's wicked easy! I did one for myself around thanksgiving, to take to my reunion. here's some pics: (Ignore the blurry spot in the front, my lens needed to be cleaned, LOL!)

I did a garter strap instead of the leather (couldn't decide on a good ay to attach the leather, and I was in a rush, LOL!) and I didn't do the tie over the ruffle (and didn't do ribbed ruffle, did a lace instead but you can't really tell it's lace in the pic, LOL!)

my version is going to be the next free pattern for my LTK members (melissa and meri, this does NOt give you free reign to keep emailing me about it, though :LOL) But I can give you a tip on making the ruffle. the body of the bag knit double stranded, then do the ruffle with a single strand on smaller needles ;) it'll have more drape and be "flouncier" ;)

Nope, I didn't line mine, and it's been fine. I carry my ridiculously overstuffed) wallet, as well as phone, hand lotion, two inhalers and keys in it ;)
