what size needles for the blue leicester?

Nada, I'm sure this was covered somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look. What size needles do you recommend? I prefer a dense knit.

OK, I found it.

The website recommends using 3/3.75 mm (3/5 US) but I use a 5 US for the waisband and 7 US for the body but you could use smaller ones as they recommend. I find it's a nice weight for soakers, not too thin and not too thick.

How does this compare to fishermen's? I have used both 6 and 7US needles on fishermen's and I'm thinking I like the 6 better. I just ordered a 7 for magic loop and am trying to decide whether to keep or exchange.

I would probably go with the 6, the 7 (that I use) can be a little looser and if you like a tight knit, that's the way to go.
