Here's a question for you fisherman's users..............
Is a single thickness of yarn thick enough? I knit up one with double strands and it's really thick, but I'm worried that it would be too bulky.
Experience? Opinions?

a single strand of fisherman's is plenty thick enough, as long as you knit it on smaller needles (say, between size 5 and 7 US) :)

My daughter has a soaker I made out of Fisherman's and we've never had a problem with wicking. It makes a trim soaker compaired to other wool I've used. I love it!!

I normally use a single strand. I do have a couple of double strand soakers, but they are super thick and I only use them for overnight.

Moving this thread to Yarn Yoga.
I made 2 pr of shorts out of fishermen's - the one I used a 6 needle on is more dense than the one I used a 7 needle on - I have some wicking with the 7 needle shorts
