I'm finishing up a pair of shorts with it, and the stuff knits great. It's soft, not scratchy, too. :D Love the stuff!

I love Cascade Ecological, although I haven't knit with it since I made a pair of shorts and a soaker out of it. Unfortunately, I had to pass these on because I accidentally partially felt ed them.

It works beautifully as a soaker-- has a nice drape to it, is super soft, takes dye great, and is pretty water resistant. Unlike that other Cascade crap (220).

I like that it's minimally processed, too.

Oh yeah, BTDT. Now I just go to my LYS and use the ball winder there, though. Nobody seems to mind.

yes exactly what Karla said! I didnt even realize that my local yarn stores did this until I read it somewhere online that most do.
Most have a swift and ballwinder somewhere in the store for you to use, so just ask at your store ;)

Lisa, it doesn't take too terribly long to wind it. You can just wind until you think it's about half of the skein too.

I am way too impatient to drive to the yarn shop (all of 5 min away, lol) so I just do it myself. :D
