Matched increases for reverse stockinette?

I want to make the baby a top down raglan in reverse stockinette. Are the increases (and decreases, for that matter) done differently?

Am I missing something here? Don't you just more or less knit it inside out? Or are the knit inc/dec's ugly on the purl side? (I don't think I've ever looked...)
