I found one in Lincoln by looking in the yellow pages under Yarn. However, it is the size of my living room which means not much selection. So I was thinking perhaps Omaha would have a bigger one. But there is nothing under Yarn in the Omaha yellow pages.

My local store is down the road from me, but she is only open whenever she feels like being at the store.
I found the one I love to go to in Toledo by calling Michael's. I didn't know what their yarn selection was, and they told me about the one I go to now. Just word of mouth, actually

I did a search at yellowpages.com for yarn. I found two stores that I had no idea even existed.

I went to the Yahoo! Yellow Page (http://yp.yahoo.com/), entered my city and searched for Yarn. :D

Okay, the dexonline.com came up with 5 listings (two were the same, but that's okay). Much better than the msn yellow pages. Thank you!

Anything to help out a fellow knitter! (Plus I'm so lazy I will fire up the computer to check a phone# on that site, rather than walk downstairs to get my phonebook!)

Just had to post that I "accidentally" found a new yarn store. It is about 2 miles from my house so by far the closest. I was actually looking for a bike shop....Just walking through our "old downtown". (I am still trying to find the "new" downtown)
Anyway the best things about the shop????? They are open late 2 nights a week and on SUNDAY!!! I guess I know where I will be spending my time and money!!

Under the Woolworks website, they have a section that lists all the yarn stores. You click on the region, then on the state, and it lists all the stores.

Forgot to do this the last time we went on a trip, but did it today, and there's 2 within 15 minutes of my dad's house! Think I can leave the reunion early to go shopping?

I'm lucky that I have three right here in town (one of them being absolutely SCRUMTIOUS to browse in!) Plus another 2 outside of town (one of them is an incredible yarn store with a cafe right in there wher eyou can get a mocha or latte and sit and knit!)
I'd suggest visiting the knitty.com forums and lookng in the LYS spotting forum. If you dont see one listed already for your area just ask :)
Also do a general search on google for your town/city's name and knitting or yarn store
