Has anyone ever tried any yarn from Baabajoes? (http://www.baabajoeswool.com/). I got some yesterday at the recommendation of the owner of my LYS. She said it's just full of lanolin, and soft enough to go next to baby's skin (although she did look at me oddly for a second when I explained what I was making! LOL). Anyway, I got some for soaker pants, and it's currently steaming after having been dyed. OMG - this stuff smells like a barn! DH came into the kitchen and said he hoped that the smell wasn't dinner! LOL
Seriously, my whole house reeks like a farmyard!
I do think it will be VERY VERY water resistant - when I was trying to dye it the dye just kept beading up and rolling off of the yarn!

Anyway, just wanted to hear if anyone else has any experience with it! :)

No, I haven't used it, but that is a GLORIOUS endorsement! LOL!

I see that the two yarn stores I frequent allegedly carry it. I don't recall seeing it, though. Hmmm...

Hmm, interesting, it says one of my LYS carries it too. I'll have to check it out. Would liquid WOW help the smell? That stuff is strongly scented. I love it.

I love baabaajoes, never used it for a soake though. I use it for winter hats and mittens every year, and did an awesoem cable scarf for Dh back when he wasn't an *h* but when I was trying to snag him, LOL He still wears it every winter. It's a beautiful yarn!
