Woo, Hoo! Excuse me while I dance around the house. I actually WOKE THE SPOUSE to share the news. By pouncing on him, hehehe. His last dream thought must have been of a lion landing on him, LOL. I am thrilled, because its the first thing I've won, except the baby lotto when I gave birth to my one perfect fruit, but I have a feeling many of you are now thinking, "Hey, wait! I won that!!!!"

I read this Somehow I knew I would win Patti's patterns. Since I own, and am even licensed in, them all! and of course, since I am the only Patti in my little world, hehehe, I thought, "What patterns???" and then, of course I remembered that, strangely, there is actually someone with prior dibs on my name here. It just trips me out every time! Now I'm wondering when the strangeness will wear off, hehehe.

Did you know that you are a genus of plants? In the carnation family? It sounded familiar, and I refreshed my memory. You do better in Wisconsin than here in CA. There ist the starworts, and here its.. um... chickweed. Now what makes me think that might not be so far from fitting???? XXOO Patti

And I did tell you that you could have first choice, and I am completely, if embarassingly, unfamiliar with both Dashing Dachs and KnitWitz, so if you want to trade, we can. I'm cool either way.
I'm just glad I got validation of my artistic vision. Man, does that sound pompous, or what??? But, seriously, I'll get an idea, and think its great, but then, what do you do to get feedback? Hey, I think I'll start a thread on this!!

Well, I have to go wrestle some 90" long cushion covers through my sewing machine, ack! I can't believe how big these freakin' cushions are! Getting the covers on them in gonna be like Anaconda wresting in the Everglades. Bleah! That's the great thing about soakers. Babies are, pretty much by definition, smaller than an ananconda, ROTFLMBO.... so, the handling aspect is vastly easier...

Yes, it did, and I LOOOOVED the cute picture your daughter drew. She's a very talented artist. I love the way she draws the knitting in pyramid shapes. What in the world do you knit around her??? :) I bet she's really smart, because there is so much precocious detail in her drawings.
I have the stitch markers in my room, but I haven't had a chance to use them yet, because I am knitting a garter stitch scarf with homemade #13 dpns. Its a fatty. I'm using some Scandia type yarn I recycled from a sweater.
