So if you're not into this enough to open your own website, where can you sell your creations? I'm needing to sell a few "experiments" that would work perfectly on someone else's child but needed a few minor adjustments to be perfect on mine (yes, I'm picky). I'd rather stay away from ebay since that's more of a flea market IMO. I'd like a more "reputable" site where I could auction or offer my soakers.

how about here in the swap-a-rama forum? :chin

Also, once my shopping cart is up, I'm thinking of hosting a place for my students and others to sell their stuff. would that interest you?

Sounds like a great plan!

The swap-a-rama forum is great, but I'm worried that I'm selling to people who can make their own so why would they want mine? Am I the only one with that hang-up?

I am exited about the place for students to sell. But will that area be for official Wooly Wonders products only?

Aren't there other auction sites out there? Kittybids.com or something like that. WAHMchicks or something like that. I was hoping to compile a list here for future reference without being too obvious about it.

I suppose we could lure some soaker buyers over here from MDC and other places. :brow

Pamela, I was gonna ask if you wanted this spread around at MDC? Not like spammed, but if someone has something that would be well received here. Eg: there's a mama in WAHM Well asking about testers, something like that...would you want us to link them to this forum?

eeeek! :eek :t

That did sound awfully :spam my, but it wasn't what I meant! No spamming at mdc! I'll lose my mod badge over there! :D

I just assume that once word gets out about our forum with soakers for sale or trade, the :hyenas will start sniffing around.

You are welcome to invite other mamas over here if you think they would enjoy our chit chat, but of course no linking to your sales/trades over on MDC unless you get a sig package. :) Which of course you could do!

I have done a lot of business at mdc via my signature. :brow

I've found it a problem to sell the stuff I make. I hate all the stories I've read about Ebay people not paying etc so I removed my membership from their permanently.

The rules have changed recently on MDC that mean you can't list homemade stuff even for trade now.

I've listed a few times on www.kittybids.com, but I don't feel there is enough traffic to get things noticed. If only the hyenas would discover it, life would be sweet!

I'd be interested in a get together to sell stuff if enough people were interested it could be fun! I didn't realise there was a forum to swap stuff here..... I'm off to look now!!! :)

Susan, did you read about the knitting congo in the wahm forum?

Yes, come join the knitting congo - we need to get it moving. I think there are more than a few of us in a similiar position.

Also, you can check out the Cloth Diapering Addicts forum on Delphi. They seem to be willing and waiting to buy soakers by the dozen.

I will never make enough to sell myself, but I've seen lots of selling/trading going on.
