Ok Ladies, pull out those knitting baskets/bags/boxes/closets/sheds and start knitting! The challenge is to get rid of as many UFO's (unfinished objects, natch) as possible, either by finally finishing them or putting them out of their misery (thanks PamM), WITHOUT CASTING ON ANYTHING NEW. Won't it be nice to tackle your holiday and general To Do knitting with a fresh clean slate and empty needles? So choose a number of objects to "eliminate" and post your status here. We can use the lovely strikethrough feature :D to update our lists!!
Here's where I am right now:
To definitely finish:
1)Noro Lily Polo: begun in June, both sleeves and back finished, front 3/4 done, still need to seam and finish
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/dcstarlette/LilyPoloWIP.jpg
2) Devon's Bonnet and Booties :love : begun 2 weeks ago, 2 booties done but they don't match, bonnet started
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/dcstarlette/BonnetBootiesWIP1.jpg
3) Daria belt: Ug. 6 sts in garter on a not pleasant yarn. But it will be so cute when it's done!!
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/dcstarlette/DariaBeltWIP.jpg
4)Fooshies for Karen's baby shower: These are actually almost done and I just started them last night... I'm adding it so I can feel like I accomplished something quickly :jack (I am on the body for the second one, first is totally done)
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/dcstarlette/FooshiesKarenWIP2.jpg
5)Longies for MDC mama: I just can't get excited about the legs, mostly because it's some random handspun that changed gauge on me and is now REALLY thin...
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/dcstarlette/JuliaLongiesWIP.jpg
6) Sweater for Jenny: Peace Fleece - Using the machine for this one... it's not technically a WIP because it's not cast on yet, but figuring out the machine is certainly UF!!
7)Necklaces for Carrie: I have like 2 more!
Things I'm not sure what to do with:
a) Rowan Calmer Shrug: Another one started in June. I finally finished the back but my gauge was off from my swatch :irked and it ended up *possibly* too big. Do I rip it out and start over (Ugh), or continue knitting it and risk having it end up crappy and have to rip out even more (double ugh)
b) Baby Blanket: This was my first *real* knitting project :redface so I am quite attached to it, but I know I'll never finish it.
Ok, this turned out to be a bit of a book, and basically a repeat of yesterday's blog entry, but I have been thinking about this and really wanted to get this stuff down. You can write as much about each project, or as little, as you want!!
Your turn!!

well, after the first post about this, which coincided with me pulling out every WIP I had; I am proud to say that I finished several, and ripped a LOT of others out that I knew I'd never finish. No pics this morning, but my WIPs are:
1. DH lattice Vest
2. Greg's Mistake Hoodie
3. Regia socks
4. another regia socks
5. mama clutch (which will be finsihed by nov 25, I'm using it at my reunion)
6. shawl/wrap thing (another will be finished by the 25th, to wear to the reunion, LOL)
7. that swing coat (needs the &*&%%$ buttons finished, will be done TODAY!!)
8. One Skein Wonder that's 4/5ths finished that I think I'm going to rip out cause I don't like the way it fits my arms (I did 3/4 sleeves and should have made them wider)

Well I finished DDs hat and it fits so well, too bad she won't keep it on lol Now I have to make the other DD a matching hat.
I ripped out the longies I was working on and re-dyed them. Once I have some more yarn to complete the elgs i will restart the longies :)
So i currently have no UFO or WIPs. But In about 10 min I will :lol

Actually, I kinda did this a couple weeks ago. I had NINE projects in the works! The ones that were barely started, I ripped out. And I've been working on finishing the others...
So, here's my list (sorry no pics -- I'll try to add some later):
1) Semi-custom picky pants and cabled cap for customer (only listing this cuz its on the top of my list right now) -- just have to put the elastic in the pants and close the hole, then finish the hat.
2) Medium picky shorts -- knitting these for the final project in the Embellishing 101 class. Just splitting for the legs.
3) Hooded cardigan (Lion brand pattern) -- hating this cuz I really don't care for wool-ease T&Q. But, I should finish it anyways -- I'm too far to just tear it out.
4) Hooded poncho for Emma -- same yarn as above -- but I just have to sew the hood on -- its done besides that
5) Size ladies Felted mocs -- have started the first one... this is pair number two of my supposed 15 pairs to make for Christmas.
The other WIP's I think I'm going to frog -- I started a Knit Picks Last Minute self-striping sweater for emma, not realizing that it was sock weight yarn and size 1 needles! There is NO WAY it'll be done before she outgrows is... So, if you are looking for some of that yarn and a nice set of Addis in size 1 (40" circs), let me know! Also tearing out the little baby bootie that I started to "learn" magic loop.
HOWEVER -- I do have to say that I will finish the above projects before starting any other PERSONAL projects, because I have a customs list with deadlines for the business. (my list is only three pairs of pants, and two of them aren't needed until closer to Christmas, but one is needed by Nov. 22nd for a birthday -- MUST start those as soon as that yarn comes in).

Ok here goes....
Soaker pants just about done...
Another pair of soaker pants need to magic loop legs and graft crotch and add a drawstring.
Drawstring.....
Pair of Perfection pants for DS need to pull out and place short rows "correctly"
Cable Cap for ds just barely 1.5" into it.
I'm going to have to cast on a new soaker though I promised a customer..*..
Can I still play?

Oooo, this is difficult. I already cast on and finished another project!! But it was an emergency, sort of.
I finished the Fooshies and the necklaces are in an envelope ready to go!!!
Theresa -- I have plans to make a OSW as soon as I get a chance, but I have more yarn than the pattern calls for... can you hook me up with some help on making the sleeves longer? *bats eyelashes* pretty please?

it's So not hard-the way the patternw orks is you work from teh neck down, so once you reach the full width you need, instead of just working the ribbing on the arms right away, just keep knitting the first section before the marker (that's one arm) then work the last section (after the last marker) the same length :) Instant sleeves (well, you need to seam them, but almost instant, LOL!)

Ummm... OK
I started this a week ago.
I finshed the sprout hat :)
I finished knitting the perfection pants BUT I did the garter stitch graft upside down I pulled it but still have to redo it
I'm 25% of the way done with the matching Hiaku jacket
I finished Quins LTK Mocs which he LOVES!!
I'm frogging Morgans garter stitch footies and am using the yarn to make a hat
I have a blue teddy bear that needs an arm finished
I still have to order stuffing....
Quin's sweater is 80% done I'm at the V neck and raglan decreases
And this STUPID scarf I accidently started knitting and it's so dang cheerful I finished it but still have to weave in the ends.
and countless little gnomes in need of seaming and stuffing
I'll have to actually look in my bags to see what else I'm forgetting

Well I finished both hats for the 2 girls but decided I didn't care for the pattern at all so I gifted the small hat to aa gal with a 1mth old baby and gave Rhi Rorys hat. I am going to remake Rorys with cotton candy farm yarn from T.
I am almost done, as in I have 3 more sets of rows (5 rows to a set) on the last leg of these longies for Rhi, then just gotta graft the crotch.
Then taking up 2 sets of needles are HP scarves that never got finished for the movie opening. Debating on stopping and redo-ing them at a later time or forging ahead even tho I really dont have time and I will need the needles being occupied by the scarves.
Once Rhis pants are done I will cast on DS9 scarf and hat. I plan to spend 1 week per kid knitting that should get me finished in time for Yule with no time to spare lol
