any ideas for fun embellishments? I'm loving Patti's soaker pattern, and am waiting for some new wool to get started on a few more. Looking for someway to embellish some of the finished ones in the mean time.
Ideas? Links?
TIA!

Me and mamapez were talking about this the other day...I suppose you could use some of the same stitches that are used for embellishing knit. This link should help. http://www.stitchguide.com/stitches/embroidery/index.html

A fridgie (gasp) is a refridgerater magnet. :) Basically I look for small motifs or figure them out on my own and the put them on the soaker...I did that w/my latest soaker shorts...put small flowers on them and embroidered the leaves... :D '
LMK if you want specific examples.. :D

I've seen crocheted watermelons, palm trees and strawberries that were small & then appliqued on. Pamela has a boat in her gallery.

I'm doing the fridgie thing on some knit pants that are coming soon. So much faster, so makes me so glad I know how to crochet.

Ruth, you sneak!
I am searching for some knit fridgies. I haven't seen a single one. Guess I will try my hand at crocheting. I hear it's easy peasy.
