Excuse the wahed out look on the middle skeins, the sun was blazing The batteries died before I could snap a pic of the second half, but here's some close ups of some of these

Oh what the neighbors must say about you! LOL! ;) What a heaven for us fiber lovers though. You need to start giving dyeing classes or something. :)

I'm stunned. I think you may have to start a yarn/knitting commune after showing pics like that! I can't wait till my babes are a bit older, so I have some more time to dye. I love dyeing! Oh, and to have a clothes line like that. I might have to stand in the yard for a few hours just to watch them all dry!

A yarn clothesline...adding to my list of dreams!

very pretty theresa.!!!!!! how long does it take you to dye that much yarn? do you have to do it when the boys aren't around?

my girls are fine if i dye in the morning, but i don't dye that magnatude at once. i think i'd have to do that much after they went down for the night LOL.

what do your neighbors think? :wowza

my neighbors think I'm a freak, LOL, btu the kidsa ll lvoe to come oogle the yarn. I think i've got some budding fiber fanatics on my street ;)

It takes me between 4 and 5 hours to dye that much, but I've got it down to a science now. I have a set timetable for what I dye, in order, so I maximize my time. I also premix my dye concentrate once a month, so I don't have to fuss with the powder each time, I use the concentrate which is way easier (especially in volume like this, LOL!)

These were all done on saturday while Dh took the boys out, so I was alone. My studio is set up in the basement, the boys playroom is in one half, my studio in teh other, so they can play while I dye, which works out very well. Before we moved here, it was strickly an after bed or on sat type deal. I'm so looking forward to them doing school this fall (excpet for greg, of course) cause then I'll have time to dye every day. Tey're in school int he afternoon, while greg naps, so I'll have a good 2-3 hour stretch to dye daily.
