Snaps on prefolds

Has anyone ever tried putting snaps on prefolds? I love the simplicity of PF's but I'm not finding a closure system I like. I keep losing pins (and Kacie is super wiggly now) snappis are just not doing it for me

I got to thinking I could put snaps on them. Has anyone tried this? I don't want to ruin any of my pf's if it's not going to work.

I put snaps on some of mine. I put them on my infant ones for dd so they fit more snugly. I put the prefold on her how I wanted it, marked where they should be, and put them on. I ran out of snaps and need to put new ones on hers because she's grwon, but it works well!
