I like the look of crochet on leg hole openings. Is there a stitch that is strechy?

I want to avoid any gaposis, yet not be tight.

Is this like eating your cake and having it too?

I have done the single crochet around mine. That is what the LTK soaker pattern calls for. I haven't had the chance to test it over a wide size range (of baby) to see if it would stretch to accommodate much growth...my dd was nearly 2 when I completed the soaker!)

My fav. thing with it is how fast it works up. Once around and voila! you are done!

I do double crochet ribbing. My son has super chunky thighs (13" and he's almost 10 months) and it is plenty stretchy for him, yet snug enough to keep anything in that needs to stay in, kwim?

What is double crochet ribbing? I think I must learn how to do that!

I've done all kinds of crocheted cuffs. I like dc, goes fast. I've done the rib too. LOoks cool. xoxo

I'm going to have to try that. Thanks. :)
