I'm sure this is a simple project, but I'm trying to figure out how to make a simple knotted doll. Would I do 2 squares sewn together with a head on one side and knots at the corders??? Or a lopsided pentagon shape with all 5 corners knotted, one bigger than the others?? Would a small square with knotted corners work for a teether??

The "my first waldorf dolls" commonly used as teethers we get over here are a square folded to a triangle with a wool stuffed head tied with string in the middle of the longest side of the triangle and the 3 corners knotted. Usually they're made out of flannel or velours. They look more like a little ghost than a little doll. First dolly a baby picks up every time!
The next step up is like you describe more like 2 squares sewn together, again with a head tied into 1 side and usually a pointy hat sewn to that.
