Not a good company to deal with. :(

Oh well... too bad they are an extremely unethical company to deal with. *Sigh.*

In a nutshell... they reneged on a purchase agreement and owe a lot of people a lot of money. Despite constant contact and promises, they have not refunded the money (it's now been six months). I know several people here (myself included) are out money... some several hundred dollars.

Their yarn is lovely, but I just cannot in good conscience do business with them or recommend them to others. Even if one person's transaction is perfect (and I have had other transactions with them go well), it would bother me to know that they did this to other people and don't seem to care.

thanks for the explanation. I definitely wouldn't want to purchase from someone who had been dishonest. That's just wrong.

I thought it was malabrigo that did that? I get so confused with this yarn. are hpy and malabrigo the same exact company, not just the same yarn? I know a couple of ebay stores sell the same yarn, but are dif. people. Honestly, I am just confused here... not trying to argue at all. :pink

:crud: That really sucks. I wish I had done a little research before I got all excited and placed my order. :( I'm sorry that you are dealing with that IrishBaby.

Count me as confused as I thought when this came up before it was a co-op gone bad -- and the woman running the co=op was the one being blamed...

It is all very confusing to me......

Malabrigo and HPY are two divisions of the same company. HPY sells online, Malabrigo sells to stores. When the co-op was going on, we were told we could order colors from either site.

Hope this clears up some confusion. I'm mourning the loss of my HPY, I just realized I don't have any left to make something for my own kid!
