Unless it is a boring blanket or the last 4 rounds of a doily. :LOL
I am also about halfway done. I am worried that I'm going to run out of yarn on one item though. :crud:

Does it count that I bought the yarn for mine today?
I think that is WAY ahead of the game for me! You all are making me look bad. BUT I will have to say that I am way excited about this!

Meredith,
Don't think you are looking bad. I am a very slow knitter (I am very new) and so I have to start right away or it will never be done on time!

I am being bad by being half done - as mamapez pointed out, I have several projects for other people that I have pushed aside to work on soakers instead...so I guess I should rephrase my OP....I love making soakers for other people. :D

You know what? I think we should have a club for Procrastinators... PA. We should see who is queen/king poobah of Procrastinators Anonymous.

:wowza I am almost done. I just need to add some embellishments. Do I go ahead and send it to the person or wait until everyone else is done?

:wowza Oh Pam, I am sooo sorry. I don't mean to do that! I am retired and have all day to knit! Except when I watch my grand kids, can't do to much when I have them. Now I know why I had my kids when I was young!!! :wowza
Do I send it when I am done, or wait until everyone else is done?
:knit
We are off camping today for the weekend and great knittting time!

You can send it whenever you wish, Renate. I just thought the deadline of a month would give people enough time (for people like me...). But go ahead and send away! :pink

I have been trying so hard to get my project going but have ripped it out too many times to count. If I am a little late, is that okay? This hospital stuff is getting to me and I am limited to what I have here right now as dh has the flu and is 90 minutes away from me. I am usually good to my word, just having trouble keeping up. I feel bad because my kids are also putting in orders, lol. :faint

You do what you can, Nichole. I will make sure the person you are swapping with sees this message.
Thanks so much... hope DH gets to feeling better soon!!

Guess what, I finished my project last night. Was having a hard time sleeping so I put my hands to work and completed two projects that will be going out to my swapee. The reason I am sending two is that I am new knitter and the perfectionist side of me is yelling too much. I am scared the "project" will not seem perfect though I am very proud of myself. :cheer
So all this stuff about me being late will only happen if I can't get a way to get it in the mail, HMMMM. Haven't figured that one out yet.

I lost my swapees address. If I get it this weekend then I can have the "stuff" mailed out tomorrow.

Got my swap stuff sent out. I am a little embarrassed by the stuff that see you guys turning out but have to remind myself that I am only a beginner.
