I finally finished my Everlasting Wonder Soaker from the previous class. I was grappling with how to do the cuffs without enough orange yarn left. I was just about to email Cass (from holysheepyarns.com (http://www.holysheepyarns.com/)) to beg her to dye me more, when BethyM Suggested brown and I had this jo sharp brown lying around that worked perfectly! I just wish I ahd thought ahead and done the waist with it as well.
I want to embellish it with some embroidery. I'm thinking leaves, to make it fallish. I think I need to do at least one on the front to cover up the very visible seam from my graft.
Any other ideas?

Hmmm... would it look dorky if you outlined a pumpkin with the other embroidery you are thinking?
that is about all that my little brain can come up with at 6:20 am.

Indian corn? Turkey?
Aside from what we've already talked about, that's what comes to mind.
It's lovely!! When do we get to see it on the model?? ;)

I like the small row of leaves idea. I need to find some tips on embroidering leaves. Stitchguide, here I come! :D
Thanks for all the compliments, here are couple of pictures of it on my DS. He was not a very willing model today.

What do you think of the fit? I think it looks terrific... and an adorable model!!

I think the fit is perfect! I worry that the legs might be too big on a smaller baby, but they do get tighter if you fold the cuffs. I might have to try it on my neighbor's son once he is over 18lbs. He's close already! :)

That's such a pretty soaker! I think fall leaves would definitely look cool on it! I can't wait to see the finished product! :)

I like the turkey idea. You could put a cute little turkey face w/ a hat on over the graft in front and a "rear view" of turkey feathers on the back. Would make for some fun embroidery! :D

Jessica, that does sound like a cute idea, but I think it might be too complex for my first major embellishment! I am still new at all of those. :)

I'm thinking of not embellishing them, because I am working on a thousand other things and Niels keeps asking to wear them. Is that a total cop-out?
