Why is this happening? I start knitting and it slowly starts to kink up- I have to turn the whole ball of yarn around and around to get it back to normal and then it just starts kinking up again!! My other yarns didn’t do this! Did I choose the wrong end of yarn to start knitting from? Help!!!

You may have started from the wrong end. An easy way to unkink it (rather than rolling hte ball) is to stick your needle into the ball so that it won't unwind, then stand up, holding your project and let the ball spin. :)

Mine is doing this too and it's driving me crazy! :irked I had it wound into a center pull ball at the LYS. Do you think they did it backwards?

Center pull shouldn't do that. REgular balls can cause twisting as the yarn rolls off the ball.

I've tried it from both ends and it still twists- it's a center pull ball too! :chin

:chin Over twisted while spinning can do that too...
You know, my yarn was doing that, too. I didn't realize the yarn from my center-pull balls wasn't kinking up until this thread.
How can you tell which end is the *right* end? When I was doing cross stitch, the recommendation was to lightly pat directly on the ends of the floss. The end that did not fluff was the correct end. What's the technique for yarn?
