No one has posted here for a month, so I'm wondering if anyone has time for other crafts. Here's a little poll to find out. :D

I'm sure I've forgotten some major crafts that people do, so if I forgot you, sorry!

I sew...but that has taken a backseat to my knitting and crocheting. Dh wants me to finish up my sewing projects so we can get the table in the breakfast nook back. :D
I have some gorgeously embroidered pocket diapers waiting to be finished...

I'm still sewing. I have to give myself little goals everyday, though. Like, no knitting until you sew 4 diapers. Then the next day it's no knitting until those 4 diapers have snaps. You know... whatever gets it done. LOL

I sew too but lately I have had no time. I'm trying to knit up enough to fill my customs, stock the store, and have some longies for Stella :juggle so my sewing has fallen by the wayside. I promised Max some new PJs and matching blanet/pillowcase sets. Poor kid.

Thank goodness Andrew isn't old enough yet to hold me to my promises. :bag

I've quilted in the recent past, and want to get back to it. Currently, I'm sewing curtains for my son's room that I started in early labor and haven't touched since. I'm telling myself that I won't start my next soaker with my new yarn from Holy Sheep until I finish them--maybe that's enough inspiration. I am allowing myself to crochet an afghan for my SIL (another project that's been long delayed) in the meantime. I figure that either way, I'll get going on a couple set aside projects.

I'm also hoping to scrapbook for my son, but somehow that priority is lower than all the sewing/yarny stuff.

So we're mostly just sewers and quilters. I guess that means I should bead stuff for trades, since no one else is doing that. :)

I sew a TINY bit... just a few things here and there. But I voted scrapbooking. I haven't done it in ages...that's because I pick up the knitting long before I drag out all of my stuff for that hobby. I have gone to a few church craft nights where about 99 percent of them scrapbook. I say 99 percent because I am the 1 percent that doesn't. BUT I love it when I clean up in 2 minutes. It takes them 30 to even start to think about cleaning up. It is just a labor-intensive craft. I find it relaxing once I have everything laid out and ready to go.

I need to take one of their power layout classes so I can crop smarter... then I will probably get back into it.

Maybe.... :juggle

i sew and scrapbook. DH is leaving for the week on sunday so i'm going to get caught up on my scrapbooking while he's gone. i sew here and there, it's a nice change of pace from knitting. sewing a diaper or dress takes so much less time than knitting a soaker or pair of pants LOL.

:wowza I am knitting right now. I want to start sewing again for my grandkids-both girls. I sewed for my kids when they were little until they found out about "name brands" !I also have a ton of stuff for scrapbooking. I want to do memory books for our pets and grandkids. I have already done 2 for my kids.
I am also trying to organize closets-stuff I couldn't do when I was working. I have never been busier! After working for 36 years-a very stressful job, life is great!!!
Happy Knitting all!

I sew some, but I noticed no-one mentioned crochet, and I do some of that, too. Right now I'm making a granny square afghan for my MIL (promised last December, so have to get moving...) It's a nice change of pace, and great to do while watching the Olympics!

I didn't include crochet because we have a crochet forum and lots of crocheters here. I meant crafts that don't involve yarn. :sheep

I'll do just about any craft but scrapbooking. Knitting is my sitting on the couch while I watch TV activity. I stick to simple projects so I can mindlessly knit each evening. :)

I sew, embroider, dye, and my other major craft besides knitting/crocheting is tatting. I'm a total tat addict. Right now I'm tatting a lace garter for my sister-in-law's wedding! Someday I want to learn to make bobbin lace, but that has to wait until the babies are grwn up enough to know not to mess with Mama's stuff!

ooh, crafty sisters here. My sister and I make waldorf dolls, woodcrafts such as furniture building, bed making, puzzle burnings, musical instrument carving, I've also made an electric guitar for my niece, and tons of sewing, macrame, pottery, and my favorite craft beside fiber arts stuff...stained glass window making :brow

Linnea, what is tatting?

mommomrebecca, what are puzzle burnings?

I love learning about new crafts!

Tatting is a Victorian lace making craft, which uses a shuttle or two shuttles wound with thread to make rings and chains of knots. It's often used to make edgings for linens or hankies. I first started tatting in 2001 because we were going to be flying shortly after 9/11 and I needed a craft I could take with me on the plane - they wouldn't allow my knitting needles!

We make six sided puzzles out of wooden cubes using wood burners and colorful wood stains to draw the pictures/designs on each of the sides. Does that make sense? There are nine cubes. So the kids can make six different puzzles out of each puzzle. It makes a neat toy for many ages. We started making them for our handmade toys store which we are opening sometime this month. Mucho fun to open a toy store, but quite busy :juggle

Oh awesome! Those sound neat. You will have to let us know when you open, because I would love to get one for ds. He is really digging the wooden puzzle we have for him, and I would love to get more. :pink

I picked up a book and taught myself. It took the better part of a weekend to really get it, but once I got it, I got hooked! :pink

Beading seems nearly impossible with toddlers around!

Jesse those are really cute! They remind me of the soldier clothespins my grandma used to make as tree decorations ((((sniff))))))

I also resurrected my love of beading. I made wine charms for quite a few relatives this christmas. If I get around to it I'll post a pic :)
