Another "new here" post

hey mamas -- I am new here, but I recognize a lot of screen names from MDC, lol!! I have just recently decided I love knitting!! I learned as a kid, but have always preferred to crochet because it went so much faster for me. But I like the look of knits better, so I decided to re-teach myself. I am just finishing up my first soaker knit in the round (LTK pattern). I'm so excited - there are a few obvious mistakes, but it's my first one, and at least I now know what not to do next time, lol! I am going to start on some longies this week!! Can't wait :wowza And I'm gonna need all the help I can get, I'm sure!

That's my exact same history too! I learned to knit when I was little, but I crocheted so much faster that I never bothered knitting. But when I discovered knit wool soakers, I was determined to learn how to knit! I wasn't ambitious enough to re-teach myself though - I wound up taking lessons.
