I have never worked with superwash, but I have heard it isn't the best wool yarn to work with, but I truly couldn't tell you why.
Big help I am, huh? :?

I meant to say, does it work well as a soaker? It usually knits up fine and is soft. Thanks for any info. :)

Here's what I've heard: it is treated so it can be washed, but in the process, the waterproof properties are lost. I have some superwash yarn, and it is very soft. I'm thinking of knitting it up and treating it like acrylic - meaning that, it's there for looks (not waterproof) and has to be washed after every use.
