Thinking a feedback forum would be nice, esp for newbies and those who dont know each other from other boards...???

I'm not sure what you mean by a feedback forum. Can you explain?

sorry couldnt think of the right term. a section where we can give feedback for transactions/trades/etc.

is that what karma is??

Not really. Seems like a lot of work. :LOL What would that entail? Are they generally effective?

it could just be a sticky thread in the swap section or a separate forum and people could post a "feedback for Regina" thread and mamas who had done a trx with me could post to it.

YK like MDC old FB section???

Maybe when the board gets bigger it would be needed. most of us know eachother from other boards so its okay

The yarndealer.com thread just got me thinking I guess.

Honestly, it just feels like it would be a big drama-generator, y'know? Do other people feel this would be useful?

i dont think it would create drama, in fact, i imagine in a tight knit (teehee) community, people wouldnt leave "bad" feedback.

it would be nice to have that type of info though -- for co-ops, trades, etc.

itd be nice to have a feedback something, but honestly I dont think much feedback would be left. I barely leave feedback for anyone unless they ask me to. its the last thing on my mind and I dont expect others to give me feedback either.

as long as its not negative I dont care, LOL

I think feedback forums are kinda a drama magnet. They also seem to require a lot of moderation and management by the powers that be so that the feedback is fair. It sounds like a ton of work to me.

Gee I must be in a bad mood today.... As long as we are free to discuss yarn stores and their reputations openly I don't see a strong need for a more formal space.

i agree with Katie, plus I als o think that beucause we're a close community, people are unlikely to leave bad feedback and then if later on it's found out that someone has rally bad service, everyone would feel kind of slighted that those who may have had a bad experience didn't say anything.
