I'm trying to decide which class to run next:
Wonderpants
Perfection Pants
Basic Soaker
Please vote for which class you would actually take, should it be offered beginning August 22nd, a Monday.
Classes work like this:
One lesson per week is posted on Mondays. You access the lesson on your own time, some time during the week. Students have access to a private forum where you post your progress, ask questions, etc. Once a week we have a non-manditory chat where students can ask me questions in real time. It's not a live class, just a casual meetup in the chat room -- "office hours."
Classes generally cost about $50, but there is usually a coupon and I will consider trades and payment plans. Students can also apply for our scholarship slot.
Any questions are welcome in this thread!

ohh oops I didnt read before I voted, LOL
I chose the PP cause I think it'll be a class new knitters will want to take because of the growing trend of the pattern.

I voted PP, purely for selfish reasons - I want to learn from the pros. :LOL

If you already own the P-pants pattern would you apply that toward the class ? :)
(I have the pattern but haven't got very far without actually taking the class lol).

The P-Pants class is open for registration! Let me go make a coupon.
If you have already purchased the pattern and want to take the class, send me a PM and I'll give you a discount code. :thumb

ok so I am way new to this, I orded the class with paypal so how do you know it was ME ~ blueheaven who ordered it? Do I need to fill something else out or let you know somewhere else?
thanks :blush
oooh and eta: I dont have the pattern yet, is that included? I assume yes because you said it was credited to others so where do I "pick up" the pattern, or is it just posted in the class?

she will know it it is you - b/c I 'think' you have to be logged in to order anyway..
IIRC when you take the class you get the lessons each week whick contain the directions we are working on....You will get the complete pattern at the end of the class.
If she isn't doing it that way this time - you will get an email with the links and password to get the pattern.(this is only good for 72 hours so be sure and download when you get the pattern or you have to ask for access again---Ask me how I found that out!)

I'd really like to sign up for this class, but I have no idea how to work with short rows. Will I have help learning how to do it if I sign up or should I pass on this class?

The class assumes you have a bit of experience doing short rows. However, there will be two, if not three, teaching assistants in the class, so there will be plenty of people around to help you if you want to challenge yourself.
You could also go to our links section or use google and read all about short rows before the class starts, do some practice, etc.

I would suggest knitting up a swatch now...in the round and practice the different techniques for short rows....
I had a heck of a time settling on one that I liked in the last go round of classes.....I think it might make it easier when the class starts if you have an idea of how the different 'wrap' 'no wrap' techniques work for YOU. (I think if you ask several knitters here for their 'fav' you would get a lot of different answers..........
---
The classes are really step by step at a pace that gives you a chance to play w/ the pants....I frogged my short rows way more than I would have liked- b/c I was mega picky....
