Hey gals, LOVE all the new colors and such. Great job! (now comes the complaint, LOL) The font color in the reply boxes is really pretty, but hard to read against the white background. Can you make it just a shade or two darker? The lilac just isn't enough contrast against the white, I think maybe a deep plum would work better :thumb

Hey Ladies.

I have a few questions before I forward the thread to the TemplateMama...

What OS and browsers are you using?

Is it the Reply box on the page you get after clicking "Post Reply"? Is it the Quick Reply box? Or is it all the posts to a topic on the ShowThread page (like this one you're reading right now?)?

Thanks so much!

for me its not the reply boxes its the actual text in the threads and well everywhere, LOL. Im using IE with cable modem(is that what you were asking?)

Im just having a harder time with the new theme than I was with the older one. is there any way we can have more than one to choose from? like mothering does and im thinking the old board did.

MMM the font color is a deep plum, matter of fact I kept the font color the same on ALL the areas so it shouldn't change? Check your IE settings and see if it has the 'ignore web colors' chosen?

I meant what Operating System are you running - like Windows XP or Mac OS 10.3.6

Which template do you use on MDC, Sara? If I recall correctly, you were having problems with the first one MDC had up when they switched a while ago, and I can't remember which one that was.

I'm loving the new colors that TemplateMama created. :love Thanks, Marnie!

I agree that it would be nice to have options, though, especially since I need something that looks pretty generic when I'm at the office and my boss comes whipping around the corner into my cubicle! :LOL :bag

ok Im just a trouble maker... maybe its not that the colors themselves are hurting my eyes but the change?
I dunno I normally use the tan on MDC but I switched it over to the blue and I like it better but it hurts my eyes(Im insane I tell you!!!), the lavender and sage was just like this one, and it was the one I liked the least of the 3.
maybe it would help if I actually wore my glasses :hide:
I use XP home

I shall give you both fluffy points as I am just a lot of trouble,

ETA: if it helps in understand my eyes, LOL, I keep the resolution on 800x600 and all font sizes and everything on the largest size. I also prefer everything to be in bold, LOL

man I really need to get into the habit of wearing my new glasses

I'm using Mozilla Firerox, but I checked it on netscape and IE also, comp is runnign Windows XP.

It's not just the reply box, but all the threads as well. In the reply boxes, the background is a pale sage with lavender/lilac (I guess it could be plum) font and then the threads are off white with the same font color. It's really hard to read for me, even when I used the scroll on the mouse to make the fonts bigger.

wait, now it looks like the reply box font is black.

maybe I'm going crazy, LOL

i think if it was just a little chunkier font it would be easier to read. kwim? this is an awfully skinny font.

Changing the font isn't hard. It can be totally changed, bolded, made bigger... I just don't want to do it at home b/c my monitor resolution is not standard size, and changes may not look the same. I'll check it out at work this morning. :)

Ahhhhh....

So those of you having Reply Box problems... What Editor Interface are you using?

To check: User CP --> Edit Options --> Miscellaneous Options --> Message Editor Interface = ???(Tell me what you have selected here)

Please check that for me.

the second one. not basic, but not wysiwyg.

jmo, you know how when there's a new msg the thread is bolder? that is much easier to read. i'm pretty sure my problem is it's just too skinny. the plum color is fine for me if it's fatter.

now I see black font and it helps sp much!

I had mine on the second too them switched to the complicated one to see if we still have the strike through option and it was plum in there, but black in the second one.
