Couple things that I've noticed right away:

1. No smilies (most important, lol)
2. No HTP buttony thingys at the top of the reply screen
3. I can't see the treehouse, or the pattern support forums
4. I had to reset my password ( not sure on this one - I might have just forgotten my password)

Smilies are there. Go to your user control panel and check your settings. You may have them off.

I can't see the tree house; I can't see any of the pattern support forums (I should see the wolly wonder and the p-pants) I also can't sent pms or see member profiles. I get a msg saying I don't have enough privilages

I only see one pattern support board listed. It's one I have access to. I used to see a list of the ones I didn't have access to, but couldn't get into them; perhaps this new board is different that way.

Many of the settings on the UCP were different, but all information that I had entered (signature, profile) were the same.

My password was the same.

When I tried to check my options in the cp because of the no smilies and no htp codes up top I getthis msg:

Change that in your User CP> Edit Options...

Not Pamela, but I know this board software pretty well :)

If you want to have the smiles be there so you can see them to enter--go to the top bar "Quick Links" and then scroll all the way to the bottom and select Miscellaneous Options "Enhanced Interface--Full WYSIWYG Editing" That should help!

Also, hitting 'new posts' at the top will take you to all new posts since your last visit.

And, you should auto subscribe to all threads you post in. If you want e-mail confirmations, that is something you access under the same menu as above "Quick Links" and then Edit Options.

that isn't an option for me. I guess it is my browser though?? I have the basic and the standard options, and neither of those are under quick links. Have to go to edit options in my CP.

Okay label me 'slow' but how many pattern support groups are there? I have the wooly wonder and the wonder pants but not any of the other patterns supports......So I think I might be missing some...p-pants for sure....

It looks like there is a 10 character limit to smilie codes? If so, I recommend that :leftyhoo: become :leftyho: It has all the meaning, and matches :rightyho: ;)

Also, I noticed that you have eek twice, as :eek (: eek) and :eek: (: eek: ).

I noticed some asterisks in my sig. Not sure what that is all about, I'll have to go check it out. :)

It looks like I'm seeing all the forums I should, and I have had no troubles modifying my settings. :thumb

ps- Well crap, I just went to edit my text, because my (: eek: ) turned into a smilie, and my edit box shows the smilie! How do I change it so my edit box always shows text (no point in a preview button the other way).

pps- I guess nevermind on the leftyhoo thing, looking up above I see the gal just fine.

I think I fixed it so you can access your user cp now, and edit sig. Or

navigation bar up top > quick links > edit signature!
