Is there a crochet hook equivalent of the Addi Turbos?

I'm so loving crochet right now, I thought I might look into getting some nice hooks. Is there a difference between brands of hooks like there is with knitting needles? And if so, which kind are the BEST?! :)

Actually i regret buying thr 5 addis i just did. they fall apart easily.

I was going to ask the same thing today. I am in the process of teaching myself to crochet and I just bought a boye set from Michaels (40% off). Are these hooks okay? They came in a zipper case and I am a sucker for cases and containers...

What do all you hookers use?

I've used the Boye set from Michaels since I learned to crochet. :) Of course, I had to buy the larger sizes as well, and those all seem to be plastic.

Do they have the warranty like the needles? If so, take 'em back! I have never had a hard time exchanging my needles.

I like Bates hooks, but I know some people don't.
