Hm! Maybe so! But there's the new all over cables soaker, and the sporty pants, not a lot of people have those. I think more people need to try the EWS/MWS too!

I definitely agree with you on the EWS/MWS...it is my favorite to knit to give to new moms...which reminds me I better hop to it as a bunch of moms are preggo in my circle of IRL friends...

The EWS/MWS looks like it would be bulky to me with all the ribbing. Is it??

It depends on your yarn choice and baby size. In the originals I did it with a really light worsted like fisherman's. Those were thin, and looser on a teeny baby but form fitting as the baby grows. Lately I've been doing them in BFL and they are heavier but more lush. Gee, maybe we can get hte people who have them to post a thread with pix?

melissa, you need it! it's a fantastic pattern. ;) i did gavyn's with fisherman's and it was perfect. a true worsted doesn't make it bulky at all, imo.

It's more like the front opening F and F or the wooly wonder soaker than the trimmer ones out there, definitely.

I agree with the other posts - though I have only used fisherman's for mine.
The width of the rib I think is perfect for keeping it from being too bulky...
Here's a close-up of the back of my MWS

and here is the front

I wish I had a picture of it on a model - since stretched on a diaper butt it looks even less bulky!
I've got them all already too, unless you put up the fcc sweater pattern for me ;)

I just checked out the site...
The swatch cloth thing looks soooo cool. Finally something for me to do with all the cotton I purchased this summer!!!!! (I can only knit so many apron tops and halter tops....)
