I'm trying to decide which to do? I really like the way they look without adding a legband but do they hold up well and still prevent leaks? What have you all tried and what's your favorite?

I have left them plain, but have had people request that they be finished out.
I like rolled myself, but I have only done ribbed on one occasion.
Not much help, I know.

I have one that I left plain and it gets worked up under the dipe. If you don't wanna do the rib, then at least do a rolled cuff. IMO, that is :brow

You can just crochet around the leg opening to reinforce it. I've done that.
I like both kinds of leg cuffs for different purposes. xo

plain is nice and trim but i've have them creep under the diaper and that was icky.
so i prefer ribbed for going under jeans and stuff and rolled for showing off under a dress, or alone.
i just did a hybrid on the mini wondersoaker: ribs then rolled. it was really mini and i didn't like the plain ribbed cuff, but i thought rolled might not hold in newborn BF mess so i thought the ribs would hold things in and the rolls would be cute.

oo, I've done the combo too... rib a few rows and then roll. I think that's a great idea. :thumb

i figured the point of the cuff was so it would "grow" with the kid. the roll kind of does the same thing, but the rib could hold in the poo better. it was the first time i tried it and i like it a lot.

Can you tell it is too late for me to be catching up on posts?

I just do the crochet thing on soakers because we use them under clothes and that's the trimmest style. When we're wearing soakers as clothes (nothing on top), we use shorts or longies.

Some of you people are crazy!!
I'm definately going to add something to the legs whether it's rolled or ribbed I'm not sure. That combo sounds interesting- I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for all the feedback.
