Guess who's going to be in your neck of the woods soon??? :D

We have a cabin near Mt. Hood from the 18th to the 22nd and will be in Portland a day or two before and a few days after. I would absolutely adore a MNO one night or a playgroup one day ... or both! :D

Anyone interested? I figure I can start getting phone numbers and interested folks together beforehand so we can plan. I know there are some Oregon mamas not in Portland proper, but am not sure how far away everyone is. We are driving up, so a car is not a problem.

Anyone? I would :love to meet some more WWF mamas in person. :inlove:

OH OH ME!! I would love to!

Oh, wait, those dates probably won't work :ohno My Grandpa (82 years old) is having his bladder removed due to bladder cancer on the 18th, which is an 8 hour surgery, and very risky, because of his age. So we will have family in town and they will NOT appreciate it if I tried to go out or do anything except mope and be depressed. That's just how they are, unfortunately. Don't you want to come at the end of August instead?? You could see Eleanor's Upsherin!! It's going to be out here near Mt. Hood. :balloon

We actually go down to California from time to time to visit the other Grandparents, maybe I could talk dh into making a WW stop :scratchc:

We won't actually be available the 18th through the 22nd, because we will be at the cabin. We may be there the 17th, but more likely through the following weekend (24-26). Any better for you? :D

:wave from Salem.

So what exactly are you thinking you might want to do? I have a pass to OMSI (science museum), Children's Museum and the Zoo if any of those are appealling to you.

Those both sound very cool! And I would be happy to just hang out somewhere if you didn't want to lug your pregnant self about. ;) Dh still hasn't figured out what day we are driving up. :whip

I live a bit too far from Mt Hood for you to drive I think. And I'm still luggable at this point.

We live in the Central Valley of California, we will be driving up I5 to get to Oregon. We may make a detour to Arcata to visit my best friend. We will be arriving in Portland where Kevin's sister lives, and on the 18th will head to the cabin (which is on the way to Mt. Hood). We will be at the cabin until the 22nd when we will return to Portland. I believe we will be staying through the weekend in Portland and then driving home again. :)

Maybe I could get some Oregon mama phone numbers and give you all a call when we get there? Then we can figure out a day to go to the science museum or the zoo (both of which I have heard excellent things about!). :inlove:

Sound okay?

I'm in Portland, and de-lurking to say that I don't know if you'd be up for a bit of a drive, or would be interested at all, but that's the weekend of the Black Sheep Gathering (www.blacksheepgathering.org) in Eugene, a couple of hours south. I've been trying to work it out to go one of the days, but I don't know if I will or not.

Okay, I have more details...

We won't be in Portland long before heading out to the cabin, so no go there. However, dh has work in Crescent City on the 28th or 29th, which means we will be in Portland from the 23rd through at least the 27th. I would *love* to go to the zoo and/or the science museum, and yarn stores (of course), and maybe a mom's night out, and hopefully the wool festival (although I think my dh might draw the line at driving too far since we are driving to Portland and back already). :D

Okay, who's free? Whom can I harass and show off my ds? Meeting WWF mamas and their kiddos is so fun...I can't wait!!! :blah

I'm in Beaverton, and there's a kick ass yarn store here. And the ladies there are super nice. PM me if you're interested and I'll LYK where it is.

I was just in Beaverton yesterday! We didn't stay long, though, we were picking up SIL's boyfriend (who lives there) to visit his family in Astoria for the day. And then, of course, we dropped him off again late last night on our way home... Next year for sure!!! Thank you for letting me know. :)
