Do you ever find that you just don't have the time? That you find yourself looking at other people's soakers for your own children because you don't have time to knit for them? Have you ever thought about taking your knitting to the local senior center/retirement community, and putting some seniors on your payroll?

I know I have, and there are days when I just don't want to pick up my knitting because I know I have so many things to do. I try to get stock up, but I am trying to fill orders that I took before I opened up shop last month. I have volunteered to knit something for an upcoming charity auction. Sometimes I feel like I could tear my hair out!!!

ok... that is off my chest. Now I feel better.

i have a knitting illness i think. i can always find time to knit, but i have no time to clean or do laundry, or , or , or, or, or ................. you get the drift. LOL.

i was buying up soakers for bella a while ago, but nothing fit the way i liked and nothing was soft enough, so i quit and just bought back a couple of mine own that people were selling, and knit bella a couple more. but, i can totally appreciate where you are coming from.

my new thing is now sewing, so it's a hard balance between the two. i'd really rather be sewing, but i have like 4 gamillion custom orders and charity auctions left to do.

it truly is a balancing act!!!!!!

I used to hate watching tv or movies - I don't have the patience to just sit. Now I'm so relieved when dh suggests that perhaps we could watch a movie. I think, "Oh, I could knit for 2 hours!" Terrible of me, isn't it?

What's really bad is that my small diaper bag has 2 sides - in one side I put Ben's diaper and an extra soaker, in the other side I put my knitting. Now that's really bad!

I so know what you mean. Poor Brenna lives in 2 of my first soakers, a pair of capri soakers that my hubby calls her hobo pants, and a pair of shorts that I finally got right! Meanwhile, I'm making custom orders for friends who don't even cloth diaper from acrylic yarns that are so cute and perfect. I really want to make Brenna some more, but boy the extra $$$ is nice! I also have had no time to make stock to get my website up and going. Very frustrating!!!

This is one of my fears about opening shop...not being able to have enough time to knit stock. Everyone talks about how frustrating it is to not be able to find stock soakers and I'm thinking "Do you know how hard it is to find all the time you need to get them done???!!!!" LOL...anyways...I fell your pain mama.

Do you ever find that you just don't have the time?

EVERY SINGLE DAY :)

I am trying so hard to keep up with customs I feel like I'll never ever have time to do some in-stock soakers.

I guess if I didn't spend so much time here and at MDC that would help a little  But a mama's got to feel like she has a social life :)
