Duplicate stitch?

I am trying to find info on doing the duplicate stitch on a vertical piece, like for filing in the crotch on shorts...but he only link I can find only offers info on horizontal duplicate st, and unfortunately I am too dang tired to try to figure it out on my own, it took me ages just to get the duplicate st down. lol
