Right, Pam has set up the forum and Davina, Amyrobynne, and I are the 'gatekeepers'.

Just to summarise the rules everyone's agreed here: (c&p from Davina's post)
* *Member for 60 days
* *At least 100 posts
* *We need to "know" you
* *NO FISHING!!! ~~ If at least 2 list holders agree that something you have posted sounds like you are fishing/asking to be fairied, you will either be removed from the list or not allowed to participate for 30 days? Depending on how "fishy" your comments were. *Please, let's keep this simple and stick to what it is really about. *Random acts of kindness!!! *Not hoping for free stuff. *
* *You need to know that sending gifts will never guarantee that you receive something in return.
* All to keep their child's measurements/allergies/important relevant information updated in their profile including the date last updated.
* You must give your own address when requesting someone else's.

If you want to participate then pm myself (mrsflipmode) or Davina/twouglyducks or Amyrobynne or the Fiber Fairy (that's her username *) with your address or your request for someone else's address. *We can then make you a member of the usergroup and pass on relevant information. *The address list will be kept offline by the gatekeepers for everyones security . Can the FF ask a ? like "Who is having a baby girl soon or has a NB girl?"

I was thinking about this the other day actually, what do the other fiber fairies think about asking questions directly to people or posting them as a general question like Regina suggested?

There is the due date thread in non-knitty if you just want to know if someone is pg of course.

Oh, and to find out who is in the group you go to groups and click on the ff group and you'll get a members list :bigups: .

Is that profile the one available to everyone who gains access to the site? Or is it limited somehow....

Trying to decide what I want to put in there - for the world to read.

Everyone can view your profile. But you can post in the FF forum if you'd like, then only those who have given us their info will be allowed to view it. :)

Okay, I am a dumb bunny tonight....how do we get into edit our profile to put in the stuff about our kids...I may be able to knit just about anything but put me in front of a computer keyboard and I am lost....Back to my knitting.
