Are there any online pictorial/tutorials about picking up the stitches to make cuffs on my soakers? Any that I've knit so far are just left how they finish (from the F&F pattern) but I would really like to start adding cuffs, especially for the newborn *just in case* ;)
So, where can I go to learn how to do this??

Have you ever knit on dpns? I like to use mini circulars but not everyone has those.
I use a crochet hook to pick up stitches all around the leg hole and then knit in the round on dpns or mini circs, normally I do ribbing but you could do stockinette for a rolled cuff.

I'm not a big fan of dpns but I do have mini circs that I love
Okay, the problem is that I don't know *how* to pick up the stitches. If I could get them picked up I think I'd be okay from there!!
It's not that hard - you stick the needle in to the castoff row, (in a stitch) and then knit regularly - pretend like you're sticking it into a regular stitch.
Wow. That's a crappy explanation. http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/advanced_techniques/ - about half way down?

Great website! Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to see. Looks so easy - now I'll have to give it a whirl.
