Ok...I'm peeved (that's stating it nicely)...

:rant :cuss :rant :cuss :rant :cuss :rant :cuss :rant :cuss :rant :cuss :rant :cuss

I try to search....It doesn't work! I am not an IDIOT?!?!?!??!!? So...tell me what am I doing wrong??

Example:

I type in "bunny" (w/o the quotes) and hit Search at the end...

and get NOTHIGN! I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN POSTS W/THE WORD BUNNY@!@!!!!!!!!!!!

I try to search for other things and sometimes they work, soemtimes not. :rant

I was looking for the post of someone who did the bunny from Kate Gilbert's site. I know someone did it and LOVED it! I wanted to read it before I paid for the pattern....but I can't find it! SO WHAT HAVCE I DONE WRONG!?

end of rant for now

You're NOT alone. I can never get the search engine here to work for me.

It's fine, Tammy. I was doing some database work the other day and didn't realize that putting the search rebuild function on hold meant that it would screw everything up. I found a Mod that will go through and automatically do it so I'm not glued to the chair over here. It will take several hours, but Search should work again by the AM.

i noticed it wouldnt work for me when I tried to do "search for all words" but if I did the regular it was a 50/50 chance.

ohh hey BTW Ive been twisting the stitch on teh japanese short rows and it is very smooth than when not twisting. did you figure out if you were twisting also?

Actually S., I need to revise my instructions. I found that *not* slipping the stitch works much better. So knit up to the last stitch before the gap, lift the loop onto the left needle in front of the aforementioned stitch (w/ right leg in front - untwisted), then knit the loop and stitch together. It seems to work better than switching the order of those two stitches. Ah, I'll probably figure something else wrong w/ it later. :p I still like to tweak the stitches around the wrap to make sure there's no chance of looseness.

hmmm its working perfectly for me now, but Ill try that next time and see if there is a difference

I don't know anymore, S; I think I'm just tired of perfecting my wrap.

I found that placing the loop to the right of the stitch that I'm knitting it with ensures the loop wraps around the back of the stitch and falls to the back of the work unseen. It closes the gap quite nicely and doesn't leave tell-tell signs on the front. Lately I've been working on tension before and after the turning stitches so I don't have to do any tweaking later on.

ill try it and let you know how it looks... I really need to work on tension cause Im still having to work out loose yarn next to my knit wrap, but Im not sure what to do other than knit really tight around that area and it doesnt seem to change it

I was just coming here to post this. ;) I did a search for 'yarn' and came up with 2 posts. HAHAHA Hope you get it working properly soon. :)

Yeah, I'm having fits w/ it. Fixing the search might require taking the board down, but I need to clear that with Pam first.

YOu're the boss, Michelle, you do know that?
