When you get a chance, can yo go tothe database at the Yahoo group and fill in your auction items so we can have an idea of the items up for grabs this time?
I'll go when I get a chance tonight and fill in for some ladies I've been in correspondence with regarding items they hav made--truly beautiful!!
Thanks so much,

I know, Susan. I doubt I'll do much for the next one, since I'll either be super pg. or have a newborn. But I am so swamped right now. Think I'll just wait and see if I can put something up there last minute, if that's okay.

Oh, I was just thinking too (yes, I do think every once in a while lol)... I was wondering if I should offer either a pink colorway or a blue one? I would do one auction and the winner would choose from either a pink or blue colorway... whaddya think?

I made one soaker keychain (or doll soaker, it is a tad big :oops) from a Charity pattern that Karen(?) designed. I need to double-check the author and then get permission to use the pattern to auction for the 3-Day. :D
Does anyone have any other ideas for the remainder? It ain't much...

i am doing a shorts/tie dye t-shirt set, but i don't know yet if it'll be ready for this round. i'm working with shellee of wonderful wares. super nice mom! it's the trendy colorway for the shorts and she's going to do a shirt to match it that will have a heart tie dyed on chest. i may paint awareness ribbons on the arms. don't know yet. once i get a better idea of whether it'll happen for this round, i'll add it to the database for this month or next. :)

So let me be sure - we just set up auctions on wahmchicks on the 8th? And later we direct the buyer to pay whatever email we are sending the payments to?
I don't really get what the template is - I looked at the files in the yahoo group but they seem to be just text files...maybe I will use some of the graphics from from the faa site in my auction.
Anyway, I have the shorts, a fussybutt fitted and a tyedyedreams shirt - or at least it's on the way lol. Oh and the camera repair guy says my digital will be ready tomorrow.

Are most ppl doing 100% donations to Jesse?
I was thinking about donating 60% and using what's left to buy more yarn to knit things for the next round of auctions. I have more time than yarn money right now, so I feel like that's the way I can contribute the most. ;)
How does that work when only a portion of the proceeds are being donated? Do we have the winner pay us and then we donate the percentage in that person's name?
imonion
05-06-2005, 12:01 PM
alright, i just checked the file at the FAA and it's there--open it up, click view source on your browser and then c&p the code onto Wahmchicks. enter your title, links for pictures, and your description.
If you need help, email me or send and IM to: sitonknitss.
I just realized *doh* that the 8th is mother's day and we ae all probably busy--I know I will be gone for big chunks of the day, so I'm going to try to do my listing Sat. night. So feel free to contact me anytime you see me online or drop an email. Also, it won't be the end of the world if we get the auctions rolling Monday, either.
Regarding percentages--give what you can. If it's 50%, 20%, 10% that isfine!! I just ask that you make it clear in your auction how much of the proceeds will go to the fund so the bidders know. Elizabeth, the auction asks for the winning bidders to pay directly to Jesse's fund using their credit cards. If you decide to do a percentage to the fund, and apercentage to you, then contact them via email and work it out so that they pay in two transactions--or pay you and you then turn around and pay the fund it's portion.
I hope that helps! LOL
Thanks,
MommyMade

I can't access Yahoo groups when our router is acting up, and of course, now that I need to be in Yahoo groups to talk to you all, it is freaking out. :getu
Anyway, I modified the template to support another walker. I am convinced that Jesse's is going to be so far beyond $2100 that it is going to be ridiculous. :bigups:
I won't amass much for Jeanine, but every little bit helps, right?
So I am posting to make sure that my modifications are cool and good to go.

My auctions (if no changes are necessary):
