just before christmas my mother asked if i woukd make her an afghan.
So i started to plan out how i wanted it, but ugg i am at crunch time. she wanted it for mothers day.
So what i want to do is make it 3 colors, white (borders), blue (3 ds) and pink (dd)...
I call it gmas memory blanket.
ok trouble is theres just too much darn blue. (need 3 blue to 1 pink)
so upon plotting the colors ds1 gets mad...he feels dd is more important than him, and if i put her pink square in the middle to even out the color...he gets mad cuz hers "looks" bigger.
I wanted to make 1 large blue square them put a pink square 1/3 of the size in the middle.
Should i keep that idea or just alternate somehow. Or just use all white then make 3 blue hearts and 1 pink heart and applique them to the afghan?
Is it possible to please my 5 yr old with a pattern?
oh and btw, mom specifally asked for a simple single crochet afghan
