Yarn Help!

I need to know the softest worsted/sport weight 100%wool yarn brand out there...I currently work w/Fisherman's but I've been asked to see other yarns. I'm making soakers, and I would like the experience of you seasoned stitchers! I need it to be somewhat cost effective, as I am crocheting the shorts (longer than most soakers) and it takes more yarn.
I am going yarn shopping tomorrow (hopefully) so if you know of a brand that is usually in yarn shops.... :) TIA!

I have been working with Cascade 220... I think that mama Pam has received word from Cascade that it is merino wool. It is really soft.

However, with that being said, soft is also known to pill up pretty good. So be prepared for the pilling factor.

But Cascade 220 comes in a WIDE rainbow of colors, which makes it nice.

Thanks, mamas!! That was part of a hot auction for the charity auction... and i am embarassed to admit how LITTLE it went for. I won't even mention it.

But I have generated some orders from it.... so I guess that is the important thing, huh?

I've used fisherman's plenty. Almost everone starts with that!!
