Any one ever knit with sisal?

I got some today at the grocery (I was looking for hemp twine) and thought it might make a good loufa (sp) wash cloth. It was cheap so I thought it might be interesting. :scratchc:

yup, did washcloths with them. One tip: knit loose, and take frequent breaks, it shreds your hands!

How many yards did you get? I've got a pattern I jsut wrote up (was going to keep it a secret until I put it up on the site, but I suck at secrets, LOL!) for a market sack (three sizes, think kid's grocery or lunch sack, then a produce/grocery sack and then a large grocery or beach tote) Anyway, I think it would be really cool in sisal!!

oh katie, you should stay far, far away from the site in the next few weeks then, LOL, cause I've got a bunch of fall patterns coming up (like a farm themed *surprise*, another cute cardigan, and a kid's comfy turtleneck.)
