Hi All,

I am trying to finish a dress for my dd for Easter. Ok..so here are teh specs. Working from the top down all in the round. Spaghetti type straps (ok, I cord) scooped neckline (kindof) small motif in the center of the front (it's a quarterfoil; looks like a small plus sign of holes ;) ) Then I have down a bit a hole for a ribbon to weave in later (about empire waistish)..now for the question..

I need an interesting pattern/stitch that looks good for the remaining of the dress. Since this is an acrylic :yikes I am thinking something w/SMALL eyelets would be good to keep it cool, but I can't figure out what I want, 'cause I want it to be modest too...sooo...give me ideas, ladies!! :) PLEASE HELP!!!

The guage: 9sts = 2" on 8s

Hugs,
tammy

The eyelet on this top is nice, yet modest. The problem is it incorporates a two stitch decrease since the garment is worked from the bottom up. Maybe you could sneak in a few m1 increases? Sounds like you're working from the top down.

:D I saw that, it was one of the inspirations. I didn't htink it was an eyelet..hrm.. :chin in that case, I can add a regular eyelet in...just space them around..

If anyone else has any other ideas, I'm all ears.. :)

LOL! No Worries! :) I think I have decided to do the Grecian Pleat. I did several rounds of it this evening and I am really likeing how it's coming out. :) :) It shrinks in a bit, so I'm going to go up at least one size in needles (I'm using 8's now) so either 9 or maybe 10s. It's very textured.. :) :) I'll post pics later ;)
