I've been making up patterns (with help from my Mum) and they way the rib is done round the leg holes is by picking up stiches from the body once it's done.
Do the patterns for sale do legs the same way, or are there patterns that avoid picking up stiches? I'm just lazy!!!
Thanks

The patterns I've seen (free and paid) pickup stitches... avoiding would be cool, I don't like it

you could always make the cuffs separate and sew them on. :yikes

If you look at the patterns at the Born to Love site...the knickers soakers are knit from teh legs up...But they are knit flat in two peices so there is that finishing work to do. Of course I did one where I knit the legs--- all four parts...joining for a front and back and then I proceeded to do the body in the round. It worked out really well.
