We put DD is disposables when she started daycare as they said they wouldn't do cloth. Well, I left my job in December thinking we would be relocating right away. Long story short, we're still here for now and I want DD back in her cloth.

So how many wool covers would I need for a two year old if I want to use wool exclusively?

I would say minimum 12.

I change mine when they get wet so they don't get soaked so I'll go through a bunch in a day.

Also, since I use them as an outercover they have to match the outfit so only about 3 or 4 are applicable with any given shirt.

I wash every two weeks or when poopy.

x/clean soakers - non matching - (pants / shorts by variable weather conditions) = y

and you have my sad [out of school 12 years and nothing left] wool soaker algebra equation.

You could get by with 2 per day, 3 total. I would think. More would just be for looks and fun. :) I think you'd definitely want more, though. I only wash wool every 3-6 weeks... unless it gets icky. But it usually dries with no odor b/t pees... depending on how soaked it was and what type of wool it is.

I think, 6-8 would be good. If you're talking covers under clothes, then it isn't as big of a deal, but if you're talking shorts/soakers as outfits, then you may want more to go with more shirts, etc.

It definitely depends if you are going to cover your wool or not. If you're going to cover it with pants/shorts, then 3-4 would be OK. But toddlers are really messy and if you're going to use wool by itself, then you'll need alot more.

HTH :)
