I finished the premie size yesterday. Mamapez is off to turn it into a pdf for me and then try to make it and see if it's easy to follow (she's a newbie so that's even better!) :inlove:

Hey Patti...
Can I pick your brain for a sec? What guage are you using? I've got (w/Fisherman's) 9.5 sts = 2" on F hook....is that too tight?
Hugs,
tammy

8sc=2" with and H hook and fisherman's. I always have a pretty tight stitch though. If I were using an F hook that thing would be sooo stiff it could walk away. lol Maybe your stitch is looser than mine?
eta: Now I wanna try it with an F just to see what my gauge is. It's always interesting to compare it to others'.

I did a swatch. ;) I got 10 1/2 with an F = 2". Maybe for you it would work fine, but for me it's too tight and so the soaker doesn't go up very easily since it can't stretch much. I've never sold soakers, only made them for my ds and for friends, but I've never had a problem with leaking and I've always used an H hook. Nice and stretchy to go over ds' thunder thighs.
eta: and he's a heavy wetter

I've got the pr, nb, and sm done and the med is just about finished, but I ran out of yarn and Michael's is sold out! Arg! Mamapez is gonna check her Michael's this evening - hopefully they have some left. I'm far enough with it that I've got all the pattern specifics written down, I just wanted to do the final measurement to make sure that came out as planned. :crud:

I finished the medium! I'd work on the large, but my yarn is outside still drying. :)

Bake it! About 200 degrees is great. It causes the water to evaporate and sets your dye for you. Perfect for when you can't wait, or it's way too humid outside. :crud:

Is it still ok to do that if it has already been microwaved to set the dye and it's mostly dry already? (It's just wet at the bottom since it's been hanging and all the water gravitated there and it's not even really really wet anymore - just damp.) I figure it'll be dry by noon since it's so dang hot outside. It doesn't get humid where I live - just nice dry heat. :crud:

I wouldn't bake it bone dry, but it's never been a problem for me if the yarn was just a bit damp. Here it's like a rainforest - no way it would dry unless "helped"
