because i would like to build a business i dont want to use patterns but I am stuck when it comes to pants (longies)
at first my goal was to knit them entirely in a round. ok it worked BUT I just dont like how the crotch looks. what I did was my ribbing them stockinetter for the rise then divided the legs onto 2 circs but left out 2 inchec in the middle.
in the middle section I sockinette (sk, sp (slipping forst stitch of each row.) for 2" (ish) then kitcher to the other side.
then I work the legs ina round. making sure to add the middle section in.
ok so now my thought is, do the body in a round them do the legs flat, ok but I am stiing her looking at it stuck. HTH am i going to join the legs to the crotch...SMOOTHLY)
I do not like seams, but it seems my only choice. HELP

I would HAVE to have a pattern. Even if it's a loose/rough pattern. I have to sketch these things out. I know that doesn't help much :(

why can't you knit each leg in the round on dpns, picking up stitches along the crotch panel as you go?

I'll take a pic. maybe i am just being too picky...

what i did was divide for the legs leaving a middle section slipping the first knit row then the first of the purl row, then grafted that to the other side, then picked up the sts along the mid section and continued on my circs.
everyelse irl says it looks just fine, but i am thinking theres gotta be a better way[/url]

that is exactly how i made my longies and I made up my own pattern too (but I don't plan to sell) I love 12" circulars over dpns. I am faster with them ;)
